In the early 1900s George Monin had organized the perfect family dinner, but by the end of the night he realized that he couldn't find a high quality liqueur to offer to his guests. That is how it all started, as this night was the reason for his decision to make his own liqueur. In 1912 he sold his own spirits for the first time in a small French town, Bourges. From the first moment his slogan was "Passion for Quality".
